Canada in massive need of change this election- April 28.

Introduction

Canadian officials have started to converges the Canadian economy with China that is resulted in the loss of manufacturing jobs in Canada. Due to the trade deficit that we now have with China this is empowered then to interfere in our domestic issues. Canadian governments have carried favour to successive Chinese governments since the men Square massacre in 1989. The idea of collaborating with China after the massacre was to spurred them to democratized and improve their record on human rights. Unfortunately, they have bolster their military instead. Canadian officials continue to welcome China business and culture into Canada, and this is left of China feeling like they have a central roll to play in our political system.

This Canadian election offers foreign interference only in the context of American President Donald Trump, threatening Canada with tariffs and absorbing Canada as the 51st state. There is no mention of China, except when Liberal MP Paul Chiang threatened bounties on Conservative MP’s.  The Nexus of the election then is about Donald Trump and Canada‘s economy and domestic law and order.

Coopting China has left Canada vulnerable to foreign interference

I voted Jean Charest and the Progressive Conservative Party in 1997. I was going to run in the local riding, however, my dad had a massive stroke and family priorities prevailed at the time Fast forward and my opinion is that Stephen Harper is the top rated PM since 1867, while, Justin Trudeau is the worst since 1867; his dad was severely flawed, too, and his Charter of Rights and Freedoms needs an update to reflect Canada in 2025 apart from its inauguration in 1982. Pierre Poilievre is the right person to "right" this ship. I voted Conservative more than 2 weeks ago on a mail in ballot. This is a generational election of profound importance and Canada's future is at stake. Please get out and vote Conservative for positive change. It is really the only choice to avoid more Liberal scandals and inept policies. Remember, Jean Chretien campaigning in 1993: "I'll kill the GST (incoming consumption tax." - Total lie. Stephen Harper as PM cut it to 5% from 7%. The Justin Trudeau Liberal's, desperate for tax revenue without turning public opinion against Trudeau and the new governing Liberal Party. In addition, Justin Trudeau, in 2015 promised electoral reform. There was no effort on the Liberal's part to change the status quo. Jean Chretien, as nascent PM in 1993 took a team to Beijing in 1994, five years after the Tiananmen Square massacre and received no assurance from Chinese officials on democratisation and human rights reforms. Former Governor General and University of Waterloo President and member of the Trudeau Foundation and my alma mater, stained his reputation by getting involved in the China foreign interference imbroglio in 2023 and resigned over conflict of interest. Checking Johnson's WIKI stub, he was instrumental in founding the Confucius Institute on Campus at U of W - a notorious eyes and ears of the Communist Party. To appear impartial, Justin Trudeau promised a merit - based Senate appointment process. Trudeau appointed Huguette Labelle as Chair of the Senate Advisory Board. Labelle is a member of The Trudeau Foundation; the usual Liberal nepotism. With great references, I submitted my package for a Senate position. I am not a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, and my application stalled. I would have been a "tweener" pick and a good representative in the Senate for all Canadians, including Tibetans and the Tibetan Diaspora, and the MS Community. Further to support the Harper government legacy, the late Jim Flaherty - Stephen Harper's long - time Finance Minister, navigated the 2008 financial crisis to perfection, so much so, that the Canadian dollar was trading higher than the U.S. greenback. Time for change!

Conclusion

The Canadian election will be decided Monday night with both elements of the domestic economy and foreign interference having a big impact on the conclusion. Will the Liberals draw support away from the NDP as voters feel Mark Carney can handle Donald Trump's unpredictability with more strength than Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre. The Conservatives will need to pick up a few seats in Eastern Canada  to develop momentum into Quebec where a break even compared to 2021 should give them confidence hading ino crucial Ontario where the election will be decided. If the Liberals breeze through  he Maritimes, take a few seats from the BLOC and head into Ontario on a roll the election will be over by 9 PM and they will have a majority government. The Conservatives need somme luck to see Liberal support soften in 905/416 and Quebec to mount an offence. A  close race will motivate voters across time zones to get out and vote. Canadians could be facing unreliable polling numbers vis a vis Kamala Harris in  the U.S. 2024 election that she soundly lost to Donald Trump. A repeat is possible in Canada, and welcomed.

Vacancies will include Jagmeet Singh - NDP Leader, that look to lose official party status barring a surprise turnaround. If the Liberals decimate tthe Conservatives, Pierre Poilievre will lose the confidence of the Party and be returned to MP with portfolio. Melissa Lantsman will be a fine choice leading the Party forward.

The CTV television panel said what all pundits say after an election: "time for the nation to come together and heal." Whether an American or Canadian audience. However, the conduct experienced by the Trudeau government over the years left little to no political capital for the Liberal Party - nothing for a rainy day as now with a neophyte leader nd Prime Minister. The Liberal Party with a minority government will be rightly facing a new election in one year, approximately. And, if they broker a deal with the separatist Bloc Quebecois to stay in power, Parliament will become a political bloodbath once again. From the scandals to the bullying, including by the Speaker of the House, the Liberal decorum was demonstrative and vile, at times. As t he threaty by Donald Trump remains to the Canadian economy and sovereignty, Canadian Parliament may ffind some common ground temporarily.
