The CTV television panel said what all pundits say after an election: "time for the nation to come together and heal." Whether an American or Canadian audience. However, the conduct experienced by the Trudeau government over the years left little to no political capital for the Liberal Party - nothing for a rainy day as now with a neophyte leader and Prime Minister. The Liberal Party with a minority government will be rightly facing a new election in one year, approximately. And, if they broker a deal with the separatist Bloc Québécois to stay in power, Parliament will become a political bloodbath once again. From the scandals to the bullying, including by the Speaker of the House, the Liberal decorum was demonstrative and vile, at times. As the threat by Donald Trump remains to the Canadian economy and sovereignty, Canadian Parliament may find some common ground temporarily. Moreover, Mark Carney would be best to not create a "cult of Personality" around him as he is inexperienced and may strive to insulate himself from the rigors of day to day government business as Justin Trudeau did when facing controversies over scandals, that, ultimately led to Trudeau skipping Question Period on numerous occasions and being held to account. To add insult to injury, news outlets have reported that Conservative Party leader, Pierre Poilievre is reported to have lost his long (20 years) held parliamentary seat (Carleton.) Poilievre's leadership renewal will now be called into question. Incoming Prime Minister - Mark Carney will be advised to steer his party to the political center after the Trudeau far- left policies infuriated many voters and led to this minority government outcome. The blood-letting will continue in the coming days as Jagmeet Singh is expected to resign and Poilievre must assign a Deputy while he has no seat to partake in government business. Thornhill MP Melissa Lantsman will be a solid choice. Poilievre would have improved his Party's overall performance by attacking Donald Trump from Day One of the campaign and using his many raliy's to congeal support against theAmerican President - it remains a wasted opportunity despite the Conservative Party increasing their popular support and seat count.
